Wendy's early dog interests were obedience training and flyball. Wendy and her English Bulldog "Boogie Man,"were Flyball Champions where they were always a crowd favorite"Boogie Man" was LA Fittest dog in 1998 sponsored by Purina Fit and Trim,  and was active in fly-ball demo's including doing a Flyball demo for the half time with the Globe Trotters. Kenya her mixed breed dog was also a Flyball champion and competed for many years.

Wendy's current set of dogs, a Miniature Pinscher Mix name Lucy, and Daisy her Chihuahua mix competed in Rally, and Agility even into their senior years 12 and 13 respectively. Dogs are never too old to learn. Wendy has a soft spot for the seniors who often get overlooked in dog sports. They love to play games too.

Although training for many years, Wendy continued to pursue her knowledge of how animals learn by graduating from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy.  She now focuses on learning what works for each individual and working to meet the needs for both aspects of the human-animal partnership.

Wendy continues her education by attending animal trainer seminars and conventions to keep current of all the new training techniques which enables her to bring up to date information to her clients. One of her favorite parts of being a trainer is learning new ways to train and motivate our dogs to learn the tasks we ask of them.

Wendy teaches clients to use clear communication, positive reinforcement, and setting dogs up for success to achieve training goals.

Wendy worked with Pets For Vets. This organization rescues shelter dogs and trains them as companion animals for veteran. In additions she taught classes at J9sK9s in Granda Hills, and Ventura Pet Wellness and Training Center in Ventura.
